Entries Open: January 10, 2008 Entries Close: July 10, 2008

Method of Accepting Entries: Limited to fifty-four. Former competitors have reserved spots until June 15. New entries accepted by date of postmark. Early entry date encouraged. VSE is limited to six entries.

Special Qualifications: All competitors must be ADS members. Disabled drivers are strongly encouraged to enter. Site is wheelchair accessible in all regards.

Dressage

Dressage Tests: Training Test 2, Preliminary Test 2 with presentation on the move.
Footing in arena and warm-up area: Grass. VSEs may have a 20m x 40m arena.

Marathon

Type of Terrain: Section A: rolling hills with some steep grades, VSE section is 2 k on asphalt.
Footing: Mostly mowed grass, some dirt and gravel in A, one hill is challenging for small pony singles; D: asphalt road; E: all mowed grass, fairly flat, one bridge, water except for VSEs

Cones

Footing: flat grass arena and warm-up area on polo field, bridge possible in preliminary, whiskers at X and in warm-up. Clearance: Training, 40 plus track width; Preliminary, 30 plus track width; VSE, 35 plus track width

Other Information

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins test after February 1, 2008 for all animals, Interstate Health Certificate is required for all out-of-state animals

Awards Offered: Ribbons 1 - 6; Division Championship

Misc. Show Info: Food stand on site; Friday greeting party after course walk and Sunday awards party; VSE division limited to six competitors, all single animals must take stalls, show-from-trailer and camping space is limited, entry by first time CDE competitors is strongly encouraged; Early arrival is available by contacting the Secretay for arrangements, stalls or paddocks will be available for long distance arrivals earlier in the week as necessary

Directions: From Illinois: Take I-90 north to first Madison exit. Go west on Hwy. 12/18 to Hwy. US 14 east (actually goes south), go 6 miles to Oregon exit. Stay on exit ramp until you can turn right (west) on Hwy. M. Go 2 miles to Hickory Knoll Farm. From Minneapolis: Take I-90 south to exit Hwy. 12/18 west which is well marked. Go west on 12/18 to Hwy. US 14 east (actually going south) go 6 miles to Oregon exit. Stay on the exit ramp until you turn right (west) on Hwy. M. Go 2 miles to Hickory Knoll Farm. From Eastern Wisconsin: Take US 151 or I-94 to I-90 south then follow directions above. From Iowa: Take US 151 to Verona. Exit at Hwy. PB, take PB right one block, then left (east) on M. Go 5 miles to stop sign. Continue straight 1/2 mile after sign to farm.
