Special Qualifications: Offering Preliminary and Limit Preliminary. Limit Preliminary is open to competitors who have not yet competed above the training level. There will be 4 obstacles of not more than 3 gates each.

Other Information

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Health Certificate within 5 days. If you will be traveling from out of state, you are required by Illinois Law to obtain an entry permit number. There is no charge for this. Information form will be sent upon receipt of your entry. Negative Coggins: dated within 12 months of the event date and must send copy with entry.

Stabling Information: Stabling is mandatory for all animals kept on site, one equine per stall. Fifty-two permanent stalls with rubber mats and sliding doors. Others are portable stalls w/doors. No electric fans permitted.

Misc. Show Info: The Iron Horse CDE committee reserves the right to change times, officials, refuse any entry, and combine, cancel or divide any class. The Committee reserves its rights as allowed under (USEF) Articles 914.26, ADS 910. Unlicensed drivers are not allowed to drive ATVs or golf carts on the grounds. Drivers may compete with more than one entry if scheduling permits.

Awards Offered: Trophy and 1-6 place ribbons per class, Young Drivers Award.

Food Available on the Grounds: Yes

Accomodations: Preferred sponsor hotels are Hilton Garden Inn 815-229-3322, Hampton Inn 815-229-0404. Rooms blocked at both (mention Iron Horse)

Camping On Grounds, no charge; Limited number of hook-ups available, $100 for the weekend. If an electrician is called due to faulty trailer wiring, the competitor will be responsible for electrician’s fee. No water hook-up available. Directions to Show: From North: I-90 exit Route 173 exit, turn left (east) on 173 and go 3 miles to left (north) on Caledonia Rd. Go 2 miles, turn left (west) on Wyman School Rd., Sherwood Farms will be on the right. From Chicago: I-90 take Route 173, go 3 miles, turn left (north) on Caledonia Rd. Go 2 miles to left (east) on Wyman School Rd., Sherwood Farms will be on the right. From South I-39: Take the exit ramp onto I39 N/I-90 W/US-51 North toward Wisconsin and go approx 8 miles to the Route 173 exit turn right (east) onto Route 173. Go 3 miles, turn left (north) onto Caledonia Rd, go 2 miles, turn left (east) onto Wyman School Rd. Sherwood Farms will be on right.
