2012 ADS Rulebook

The 2012 Rulebooks posted on December 1 have been revised by the Board of Directors. Article 132.9 was deleted by special request of the Licensed Officials Committee. Documents now posted reflect this change, however anyone downloading a copy between December 1 and December 12 will need to delete the former Article 132.9. The spiral bound printed version will not include this article.

2012 ADS Rulebook (Effective January 1, 2012)

• Changes illustrated includes all approved changes based on the final 2011 edition (with revisions). Subsequent changes are underlined and in red ink (for the benefit of easy on-screen reading and those with color printers); deletions are presented in strikethrough text. This copy will continue to be updated with all changes throughout 2011.
• Changes incorporated is a clean copy with only the final text effective January 1, 2012 plus any subsequent updates/revisions in the style indicated above.
• Updates/revisions includes articles updated/revised after January 1, 2012. These changes will also be included in both above versions for those wishing to print the entire Rulebook.

All document will bear the date of the latest revision. These choices allow individuals to decide which is best for their personal needs:

• Review on the screen and make pen & ink revisions to a previous personal copy, or
• Download the Updates/revisions and cut & paste into a previously printed rulebook, or
• Reprint the entire Rulebook in either Changes Illustrated or Changes Incorporated format.

Please note – The 2 page/sheet copy is actual size print; the 1 page/per sheet is digitally enlarged. Printing double-sided and using either 3-hole punch binder or a plastic coil binding (top margin for the x2; left margin for the x1 versions) is recommended for ease of use and durability.

Directions to Download:

• You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
• To download your preference, click the effective date in the appropriate box. (This will open the document and you may either print the document or save it to a disc or memory stick and have a local print shop print it for you.)

Note: to print a specific page(s), use the document page number at the bottom of your screen, not the Rulebook page number.

Commercial Print Shops:

• For best results, ask the printer to use 28# laser paper, double sided. Print the cover (first page) on card stock, and use a coil binding for durability. Bind on top margin for 2 pages/sheet version. In one page/sheet versions, be sure the odd pages are on the right, even on the back.

Rulebook Amendments:
Revisions to the ADS Rulebook will be published on the ADS website. The following deadlines are required, leading to the publication of the official rules becoming effective January 1 of each year:
